When I first became a customer of Eternal Ghostwriting, I relied on representations made to me about the company, its services and the results I could expect.

After my own experience, I began looking more closely at the company.

What I found raised questions that went far beyond my individual dispute.

This page does not ask readers to simply believe me. Wherever possible, I compare Eternal Ghostwriting’s own current statements with information available from independent sources such as the Better Business Bureau.

1. “19 Years of Experience” vs. a Reported 2021 Business Start Date

As of September 2026, Eternal Ghostwriting’s homepage prominently advertises:

“19 Years of Experience.”

The same section advertises:

• 310+ National Bestsellers
• 2,100+ Books Published
• “75 mil” GhostWriting Books Sold

If “19 years of experience” describes the history of Eternal Ghostwriting itself, it would appear to place the beginning of that experience around 2007.

What the BBB Reports

The Better Business Bureau’s profile for Eternal Ghostwriting reports:

Business Started: November 23, 2021

Years in Business: 4

BBB File Opened: April 26, 2023

Type of Entity: Sole Proprietorship

The Discrepancy

Those two representations do not obviously align.

Eternal Ghostwriting advertises 19 years of experience, while BBB currently reports that the business started in November 2021.

There could potentially be an explanation. For example, Eternal might be aggregating the individual experience of employees rather than representing the age of the business.

But if that is what “19 Years of Experience” means, that distinction is not apparent from the statistic displayed on the homepage.

Why This Matters

Experience is an important credibility signal.

A prospective author seeing “19 Years of Experience” could reasonably give that information significant weight when deciding whether to entrust a company with thousands of dollars and potentially years of work.

This isn’t merely my interpretation of the discrepancy.

The BBB itself questioned the claim.

On October 10, 2025, BBB Serving Los Angeles and Silicon Valley asked Eternal Ghostwriting to substantiate, modify or discontinue several advertising claims, including:

“19 Years of Experience.”

According to BBB, as of November 10, 2025, Eternal Ghostwriting had not responded to that reques

2. 310+ “National Bestsellers”… But Which Books?

Eternal Ghostwriting currently advertises:

“310+ National Bestsellers.”

This is an extraordinary claim.

What Is Missing

The homepage does not accompany that statistic with a list identifying 310 bestselling titles.

It does not explain, alongside the statistic:

• which books are included;
• who authored them;
• which bestseller rankings are being referenced;
• what countries the word “National” refers to;
• what dates the books achieved bestseller status;
• or what role Eternal Ghostwriting performed for each book.

BBB’s Intervention

This statistic was specifically included among the claims questioned by BBB during its October 2025 advertising review.

BBB asked Eternal Ghostwriting to substantiate, modify or discontinue its advertising claims.

BBB subsequently reported that the company had failed to respond by November 10, 2025.

Why This Matters

“Bestseller” can mean dramatically different things depending on the ranking.

Reaching the top of a narrow Amazon subcategory for a short period is not necessarily equivalent to appearing on a major national bestseller list.

Therefore, “310+ National Bestsellers” deserves a simple factual explanation.

3. Major Media and Publishing Names Displayed, But What Is the Relationship?

The BBB investigation raises another important issue.

According to BBB, Eternal Ghostwriting’s website displayed or listed the names of organizations including:

Forbes
The New York Times
Los Angeles Times
Esquire
BBC
NBC
Ingram
Barnes & Noble
Amazon
Baker & Taylor
Alibris
Google Book

BBB stated that these organizations were presented without disclosure of Eternal Ghostwriting’s affiliation to them.

That distinction matters.

Displaying internationally recognized media, publishing and retail brands can create an impression of credibility or association.

But there are many possible relationships.

A company could be:

an official partner;

an authorized service provider;

a customer;

a vendor;

a company whose books simply happen to be distributed through the platform;

or have no formal relationship at all.

These possibilities are not equivalent.

BBB therefore specifically asked Eternal Ghostwriting to substantiate, modify or discontinue the relevant claims.

According to BBB, Eternal had not responded as of November 10, 2025.

4. Massachusetts Company or California Sole Proprietorship?

This is one of the most unusual inconsistencies I found.

What Eternal’s Terms Say

Eternal Ghostwriting’s current Terms & Conditions define the company as:

“eternalghostwriting.com, a company registered under the laws of Massachusetts.”

What Eternal’s Website Says

At the bottom of Eternal Ghostwriting’s current website, however, the company gives this address:

Sherman Oaks, CA 91403
United States

What BBB Says

BBB similarly identifies Eternal Ghostwriting in Sherman Oaks, California.

But BBB describes its entity type as:

Sole Proprietorship

and gives the business start date as November 23, 2021.

The Question

None of those facts individually proves wrongdoing.

Businesses can operate in multiple states, and a company can have an address in one state while being organized elsewhere.

But consumers should be able to determine who they are actually contracting with.

The Terms refer to a “company registered under the laws of Massachusetts.”

BBB describes Eternal Ghostwriting as a California-addressed sole proprietorship.

The website itself provides a California address

5. Customer Satisfaction” vs. BBB’s Unanswered Complaints

What Eternal Says

Eternal Ghostwriting’s About page states that what sets the company apart is its primary focus on customer satisfaction.

It says managers ensure customers remain updated and receive assistance with questions.

The website also says:

“Our customer support is there to resolve your queries.”

What BBB Currently Reports

As of this investigation, BBB reports:

7 complaints during the previous three years.

More significantly:

6 are categorized as unanswered.

BBB currently gives Eternal Ghostwriting an:

F Rating

BBB identifies two reasons:

Advertising issues found by BBB

and

Failure to respond to 6 complaints filed against the business.

Important Context

The existence of a complaint does not itself establish that every allegation made by a customer is true.

BBB itself cautions consumers to consider complaint information in context.

However, whether a company responds to complaints submitted through an established consumer-resolution organization is independently relevant.

The Discrepancy

A company can certainly claim to prioritize customer satisfaction while having dissatisfied customers.

The more important question here is why BBB currently records six complaints as unanswered while Eternal publicly emphasizes responsive customer support.

6. Eternal Says It Provides “Easy Refunds.” Multiple Consumers Describe Something Else.

My experience does not appear to exist in isolation.

BBB’s public complaint database contains multiple consumer allegations involving dissatisfaction, contractual obligations and requested refunds.

One 2026 complainant reports paying approximately $9,350 for writing, editing, publishing and marketing services. The complainant alleges invoking a satisfaction guarantee, requesting a refund and subsequently losing access to the customer portal.

Another BBB complaint concerns approximately $4,500 and alleges that promised quality was not delivered.

Another describes purchasing services for three books for approximately $3,280 and subsequently seeking a refund.

These are allegations from consumers, not judicial findings, and I present them as such.

But the similarities deserve investigation.

My own dispute also involves a promised refund connected to contractual performance.

Independent Review Platform

Trustpilot currently presents an unusually different picture from the positive testimonials displayed on Eternal Ghostwriting’s own website.

At the time of this investigation, Trustpilot showed 18 reviews, with approximately:

94% rated 1 star

0% rated 5 stars

Again, reviews are consumer opinions, not findings of fact.

But prospective customers deserve to know that these accounts exist alongside the testimonials displayed by the company.

THE BBB DIDN’T JUST RECEIVE COMPLAINTS: IT INVESTIGATED THE ADVERTISING

This distinction is extremely important.

Everything above should not be reduced to:

“Some angry customers posted bad reviews.”

BBB itself initiated an Advertising Review.

According to BBB, on October 10, 2025, it requested that Eternal Ghostwriting:

substantiate, modify or discontinue specified claims.

The challenged material included:

• major organizations displayed without clarification of affiliation;
• 19 Years of Experience;
• 310+ National Bestsellers;
• 2,100+ Books Published;
• 75 mil GhostWriting Books Sold;
• book images;
• testimonials.

BBB then records:

“As of November 10, 2025, the business has failed to respond to our request for substantiation, modification, or discontinuation of the advertised claims.”

That finding is one of the most important pieces of independent information I discovered.

WHAT IS ESTABLISHED AND WHAT IS NOT

I want this investigation to maintain a higher evidentiary standard than the conduct it examines.

Therefore, I distinguish between documented facts, consumer allegations and unanswered questions.

Documented

Eternal currently advertises 19 years of experience.

Eternal currently advertises 310+ national bestsellers.

Eternal currently advertises 2,100+ books published.

Eternal currently advertises “75 mil” GhostWriting books sold.

BBB reports that Eternal Ghostwriting started business in November 2021.

BBB currently assigns Eternal Ghostwriting an F rating.

BBB reports six unanswered complaints.

BBB conducted an advertising review concerning several of Eternal’s representations.

BBB reports Eternal failed to respond to its substantiation request by November 10, 2025.

Eternal’s About page advertises “easy refunds.”

Eternal’s Terms also state that products are non-refundable before subsequently establishing specified refund circumstances.

Eternal’s Terms identify eternalghostwriting.com as a company registered under Massachusetts law.

Eternal’s website displays a Sherman Oaks, California address.

BBB identifies the entity as a sole proprietorship.

Alleged by Consumers

Several consumers publicly allege problems obtaining refunds.

Some allege poor-quality or unusable work.

Some allege that contractual or satisfaction guarantees were not honored.

Some reviewers allege outsourcing or AI-generated work.

These claims should remain identified as allegations unless independently substantiated.

Still Unanswered

What substantiates 19 years of experience?

Which 310+ books became national bestsellers?

Which national lists were used?

Which 2,100+ books were published?

What exactly does “75 mil” represent?

What formal relationships exist with the major organizations referenced by Eternal?

What is the complete legal identity of the entity accepting customer payments?

Why do the Terms identify Massachusetts while the public-facing address and BBB profile point to California?

Why does the website advertise “easy refunds” while the Terms initially characterize products as non-refundable?

Why did Eternal not respond to BBB’s advertising substantiation request by BBB’s stated deadline?

Why are six BBB complaints currently classified as unanswered?
